In a bid to tackle the pressing healthcare challenges in Bhubaneswar, RED.Health has announced a strategic partnership with Utkal Hospital. RED.Health will deploy Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances equipped with state-of-the-art technology to Utkal Hospital to ensure faster emergency response services and better patient care. This collaboration aims to improve emergency medical services in the city and surrounding regions, bringing critical care closer to those in need.
According to recent reports, Bhubaneswar and the surrounding regions face a severe shortage of accessible healthcare services. Poor infrastructure and insufficient medical personnel in remote areas have contributed to delays in treatment, often with tragic outcomes. The lack of proper healthcare is a key driver of harmful practices such as witch-hunting, as residents in remote areas turn to superstitions when timely care is unavailable.
This partnership directly addresses such societal issues by providing a fleet of well-equipped ambulances and ensuring continuity of care. Utkal Hospital doctors will be actively involved in supervising and delivering medical care within the ambulances, ensuring seamless transitions from the scene of an incident to the hospital for further treatment. By deploying the ALS ambulances, RED.Health aims to provide world-class medical transportation and minimize delays in emergency care. The initiative enhances the hospital’s ability to respond rapidly to emergencies, optimizing patient outcomes and reducing the risk of fatalities due to delayed care.
Commenting on the partnership, Prabhdeep Singh, Founder & CEO of RED.Health said, “In moments of crisis, every second counts. Our collaboration with Utkal Hospital is not just about deploying ambulances; it’s about creating a safety net for the people of Bhubaneswar. We are here to ensure that no patient’s life is at risk due to delayed emergency care. By combining our advanced technology with Utkal Hospital’s medical expertise, we are taking a decisive step towards making critical healthcare accessible when it’s needed most.”
Mr. Arun Khilar, CFO & Unit Head, Utkal Hospital, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Red Health on the successful collaboration with Utkal Hospital. This partnership marks a significant milestone in enhancing our emergency services, enabling us to provide timely and life-saving care to those in need.
Mr. Manav, COO, Utkal Hospital said, “Our partnership with RED.Health is a vital step in addressing the healthcare challenges the city of Bhubaneswar faces today. Integrating advanced ambulance services with our medical care bridges the gap between emergencies and treatment. Together, we are not only improving response times but also ensuring that patients receive continuous and specialized care right from the moment they need it.”
In addition to the current collaboration, discussions are underway to expand services to other Utkal Hospital units, further strengthening emergency care infrastructure in the region. Notably, RED.Health is the only transport emergency medical service provider company in Asia to receive Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, marking its adherence to the highest international standards of patient safety and quality of care in medical transportation.
