Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM) Organisers Set July 15 for Registration Date Reveal

Organisers of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM) will announce the registration opening date for the 2026 edition on July 15, according to a post published Saturday on the event’s official Facebook page.

The announcement, accompanied by a short teaser video, did not specify when registration itself will open — only that the date will be confirmed on the 15th. “We know you’re waiting, so are we,” the post read, tagged #VDHM2026.

The 21st edition of the World Athletics Gold Label race is confirmed for Sunday, October 18, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Procam International, which has organised the event since its inception, typically opens registration between four and eight weeks after such announcements, based on the pattern of the past several editions.

Race categories for 2026 include the Half Marathon (21.1 km), Open 10K, the Great Delhi Run (5K), and a Senior Citizens Run. The event drew more than 30,000 participants in its 2025 edition, making it the largest half marathon on the Indian calendar.

Runners targeting the Half Marathon category will need to meet Procam’s qualifying standard — a sub-3:30 half marathon, sub-7:18 marathon, or equivalent, from a certified race held on or after October 1, 2024 — details FatMarathoner has covered in its full VDHM 2026 guide, which is being updated to reflect Saturday’s announcement.

Half Marathon and 10K entries have sold out within days of opening in recent editions. Procam has not indicated whether 2026 registration will follow the same window.

FatMarathoner will update this report once the registration date — and the opening itself — is confirmed.
